Method and structure of the online PY weekend course
In the two streaming classes (mainly focused on theory and navigation chart), and in the tutorials, an instructor will guide you so that you can assimilate and understand the syllabus easily and thus be able to pass the exam on the first try.

You can come to Port Olímpic to do your practices any week of the year, before or after the exam.
How to follow the online PY weekend course
You can sign up for the PY theoretical course for the dates that suit you, and from today you can access the online course platform to review the syllabus before starting classes.
- Online courses with 2 classes, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 or 19:00.
- During the classes your instructor will explain the syllabus step by step.
- You will be able to solve specific doubts in streaming tutorials.
- All classes and tutorials are recorded, so you can see them again as many times as you want.
The PY syllabus is divided into 4 units.

PY Exam
In 2024 in Catalonia there will be 3 in-person PY exams, in April, June and December.

Additional Information
- The exam is usually done on a weekend, in a public institute.
- A few days before each call, the provisional list of admitted students is published.
- You choose the call, but until the list is published you will not know the place, day and time that you must take the exam.
- The final list of those admitted will be published before 12 noon the day before the test.
- In the exam, only the theoretical contents are evaluated, the practices are evaluated by the school.
- If you delegate your registration for the exam to EscolaPort, we will do the procedures, follow-up, incident management and you will receive by email: reminders, solution template, list of admitted students and results.

Once you have passed the exam and completed the practices, you will be able to issue your PY title.
Term
You have a maximum of 24 months to issue the title, counted from the date you pass the exam or complete the practices (whichever you did first).
Documentation
- Valid ID, residence card or passport.
- Receipt of payment of the corresponding fee.
- Nautical Medical Certificate carried out in Driver Recognition Centers (CRC).
- It is not necessary if less than 2 years have passed since the date of issue of a previous title.
- If you carry out the procedure on your own, the medical certificate must be provided in digital format through the application for the issuance of certificates of nautica.gencat.cat
- If you delegate the issuance process to EscolaPort, you must present the original document to the school.
