GMDSS General Operator – STCW A-IV/2 – GOC
If you are in possession of the title of Restricted Operator of SMSSM you can take the adaptation course and obtain the title of General Operator of SMSSM that will allow you to carry out the functions related to the radiocommunications service on ships covered by the SMSSM, for all maritime zones -A1, A2, A3 and A4-.
It will train the personnel in charge of organizing and developing the functions of the radiocommunication and emergency service on board ships, in Distress, Urgency and Security situations, and routine communications, within the GMDSS (GMDSS).
Mainly aimed at the personnel in charge of the navigation watch on ships covered by the GMDSS in navigation through maritime zone A1 (Captains, Officers, Hight Merchant Navy, PPER's (B – 150 miles), etc.)
The training is given in Spanish.
