Do you want to become a PY in a fun and exciting way? In five days sailing along the Catalan coast and the Balearic Islands, you will do all the necessary practices to obtain your title.
At the end of your PY ON BOARD course (once the exam has been passed) you will be able to issue your Yacht Skipper title with the maximum attributions.
Method and structure of the PY course on board: an incredible adventure that you cannot miss.
During the 5 days of the journey, between Barcelona and the Balearic Islands, aboard a 15-foot sailboat you will pass all the PY practices with guarantees.
PY practices on board:
On Monday at 2:00 p.m., in the Port Olímpic of Barcelona, the course begins. We will organize the crew, we will do the safety briefing, we will study the meteorology, we will plot the route, the guards will be distributed, the cabins and at the end of the day you will have free time on land to buy food.
During the week we will alternate motor navigation and sailing practices while we make the journey to the Balearic Islands, Menorca or Mallorca, until completing the PY ON BOARD practices in Barcelona on Friday.
PY theory on board:
Before and after the journey, in streaming tutorials, an instructor will guide you to pass the PER exam.
We recommend you prepare each topic in advance and answer all your questions with the instructor. Here are some tips:

PY Exam
In 2023 in Catalonia there are 3 face-to-face PY exams, in April, July and December.
At EscolaPort we schedule theoretical courses, face-to-face or via streaming, every month, on dates close to each call.
Deadlines
You can sign up for the exam up to 20 days before each call.
You can complete the practices before or after the exam.
The exam is usually done on a weekend, in a public institute.
A few days before each call, the provisional list of admitted students is published.
You choose the call, but until the list is published you will not know the place, day and time that you must take the exam.
The final list of those admitted will be published before 12 noon the day before the test.
In the exam, only the theoretical contents are evaluated, the practices are evaluated by the school.
If you delegate your registration for the exam to EscolaPort, we will do the procedures, follow-up, incident management and you will receive by email: reminders, solution template, list of admitted students and results.
issuance of the title
Once you have passed the exam and completed the practices, you will be able to issue your PY title.
Term
You have a maximum of 24 months to issue the title, counted from the date you pass the exam or complete the practices (whichever you did first).
It is not necessary if less than 2 years have passed since the date of issue of a previous title.
If you carry out the procedure on your own, the medical certificate must be provided in digital format through the application for the issuance of certificates of nautica.gencat.cat
If you delegate the issuance process to EscolaPort, you must present the original document to the school.

El viaje de instrucción a Baleares es muy recomendable. Martin Cabrera es un profesor apasionado por enseñar y abierto a todas las preguntas, por muchas que fueran. Otra buena experiencia con Escola Port. Hacen bien las cosas.

Este fin de semana hemos hecho las prácticas de vela y la verdad es que ha sido una experiencia totalmente recomendable. Desde las embarcaciones hasta los instructores. Todo súper bien organizado. Gracias a Charly con la introducción que hicimos con el j80 , y por supuesto a Emi con el Deneb, que no paró de explicar y de hacernos practicar hasta que saliera todo perfecto. Gran implicación.
Nos apuntaremos al club de navegación de Escola Port para ir practicando y perfeccionando los conocimientos.

Hice las prácticas de navegación con Lis, muy buena profesora y atenta para que todo el mundo entendiera y ejecutara las maniobras y explicaciones. Hizo las prácticas dinámicas y divertidas. 100% recomendable.
