Basic safety training – STCW A-VI/1
During the Basic Safety Training course you will learn how to act in different emergency situations on board the ship. The course is divided into 4 modules.
- Survival at sea in case of abandonment of the ship STCW A-VI/1-1
- Prevention and fight against fires STCW A-VI/1-2
- Minimum standards in first aid STCW A-VI/1-3
- Safety at work and social responsibilities A-VI/1-4
Theoretical and practical face-to-face training where you will learn about emergency situations on board and prepare you to respond, immediately applying the procedures and actions that minimize possible dangers related with firefighting, rescue, survival and prevention of accidents on board.
The training is given in Spanish.
In addition, for being a student of the school you will have:

The course taught by Escola Port is approved by the DGMM and complies with the STCW10 Manila amendments. This certificate is mandatory to be able to work on a sea-going vessel.

Pues la experiencia a sido favorable. De todos modos creo que se podría mejorar la parte realizada en can padró, por un lado creo que 5 horas es poco tiempo para todas las prácticas y por otro la manera de impartirlo, soy partidario de hacer un briefing antes de cada práctica, también se podría mejorar la coordinación entre instructores. Por otro lado pienso que la clase que hicimos por la tarde en su centro no tenía nada de actualización(yo estaba actualizando) estaría bien hacer primero la parte de clase donde explicar y asimilar lo que se impartirá en la práctica. Estoy muy contento con el desarrollo del curso. Las prácticas de fuego y las de salvamento fueron muy interesantes. Como siempre las clases con Raúl Serrano estuvieron super bien. Se nota que lleva el mar en la sangre.
