Course method and structure Weekday navigation license

In the 2 hours of theoretical class and 4 hours of practice, during the week, your instructor will help you understand and assimilate the fundamentals of safe navigation and the regulations.

In the Navigation License course you will learn

Basic notions of navigation.
Passage preferences between vessels.
Interpret the maritime buoyage.
Make essential knots.
Collision prevention rules.
How to dock and undock.
Choose a good place to anchor.

How to act in emergencies.

Navigation License Requirements

Be 16 years or older.
DNI, NIE or valid passport.
Complete 4 hours of practice, on a weekday.
Complete 2 hours of theoretical class (before or after the practices).
Nautical Medical Certificate.

Expedition

Once the course is completed, you must send us a digital copy of both sides of your medical certificate and in 15 days you can come and pick up your Navigation License.

Your NL does not expire, just in case you lose it or it deteriorates, you can request a duplicate from the school.

me ha sorprendido mucho por la positiva por los instructores y el contenido. He aprendido mucho. Quizás sólo faltó poder dar tiempo a todos de poder realizar maniobras y también aprender a sacar un barco de dentro de agua, pero entiendo que esto no haga parte

It _x0019_s a basic course, so you learn all the basics, and it _x0019_s all fairly easy and logical – but after the course you will have a license that will allow you to manoeuver a small boat along the cost. It _x0019_s great that you can get everything done in an afternnoon – we met at 3pm, and at 8pm we were finished. Our group was 5 people, a great size for the course, and the 4h of practice were good fun. We saw most of Barcelona _x0019_s shoreline, and learned everything we need to safely drive in the harbour and the area we _x0019_re allowed to navigate in. I particularly enjoyed our English-speaking instructor who was very clear in his directions, answered all my questions very well, and was just a kind person that was quick to adjust to the situation rather than mindlessly following a routine – I really respect that. All in all, a great experience, now I just hope the license arrives soon in the mail so we can take the family out for a little trip some time.

El viaje de instrucción a Baleares es muy recomendable. Martin Cabrera es un profesor apasionado por enseñar y abierto a todas las preguntas, por muchas que fueran. Otra buena experiencia con Escola Port. Hacen bien las cosas.

Este fin de semana hemos hecho las prácticas de vela y la verdad es que ha sido una experiencia totalmente recomendable. Desde las embarcaciones hasta los instructores. Todo súper bien organizado. Gracias a Charly con la introducción que hicimos con el j80 , y por supuesto a Emi con el Deneb, que no paró de explicar y de hacernos practicar hasta que saliera todo perfecto. Gran implicación. Nos apuntaremos al club de navegación de Escola Port para ir practicando y perfeccionando los conocimientos. Un saludo.
