GMDSS Restricted Operator – STCW A-IV/2
Theoretical and mainly practical course, which will train you for the functions of the radioelectric service and radiocommunications in ships covered by the GMDSS in zone A1. It will train the personnel in charge of organizing and developing the functions of the radiocommunication and emergency service on board ships, in Distress, Urgency and Security situations, and routine communications, within the GMDSS (GMDSS).
Mainly aimed at the personnel in charge of the navigation watch on ships covered by the SMSSM in navigation through maritime zone A1 (Captains, Officers, Skippers of Hight Merchant Navy, Port Skipper, PPER's, etc.).
Compulsory title to obtain the PPER and Port Skipper.
