GMDSS Restricted Operator – STCW A-IV/2

Theoretical and mainly practical course, which will train you for the functions of the radioelectric service and radiocommunications in ships covered by the GMDSS in zone A1. It will train the personnel in charge of organizing and developing the functions of the radiocommunication and emergency service on board ships, in Distress, Urgency and Security situations, and routine communications, within the GMDSS (GMDSS).

Mainly aimed at the personnel in charge of the navigation watch on ships covered by the SMSSM in navigation through maritime zone A1 (Captains, Officers, Skippers of Hight Merchant Navy, Port Skipper, PPER's, etc.).

Compulsory title to obtain the PPER and Port Skipper.

Syllabus

  • Basic characteristics of the maritime mobile service.
  • Practical knowledge and qualification of the basic equipment of a ship's station.
  • Operational procedures and detailed operation of the practice of GMDSS systems and their subsystems.
  • Capacities and operational procedures for general communications.

  • Current DNI, NIE or passport.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the English language in its maritime aspect.

El aula dispone de simuladores perfectamente funcionales para poder practicar al 100% todos los instrumentos (vhf, sart, gps, navtex). La semana de formación pasa volando y te quedas con ganas de más. Hice varios cursos en Escola Port y todos muy bien. La escuela es muy limpia y bien organizada, y dispone de material didáctico muy moderno. En recepción y dirección te ayudan desde el antes, durante y después siempre con una sonrisa y disponibilidad (gracias Jose, Miquel, Vanessa y Rodrigo). Te facilitan toda la info y los papeles para no tener que hacer mil viajes a capitanía. También te quedas con un pen drive con los ficheros escaneados de cada curso. Seguir así…. no me quedan mas cursos para tramitar el PPER, pero probablemente volveremos a vernos en puerto en mar y en alguna renovación!!!Muchas gracias Escola Port

Empecé los cursos sin tener ningún conocimiento ni de navegación ni de nuestro entorno marino, me gustaría agaradecer a todos los profesionales de Escola Port por este tiempo haciendo los cursos, he aprendido y disfrutado muchísimo, esta escuela es 100% recomendable. Este fin de semana hemos hecho las prácticas de vela y la verdad es que ha sido una experiencia totalmente recomendable. Desde las embarcaciones hasta los instructores. Todo súper bien organizado. Gracias a Charly con la introducción que hicimos con el j80 , y por supuesto a Emi con el Deneb, que no paró de explicar y de hacernos practicar hasta que saliera todo perfecto. Gran implicación.
Nos apuntaremos al club de navegación de Escola Port para ir practicando y perfeccionando los conocimientos.
