The price of the PER short-range radio operator internship includes:
- On-site or streaming theoretical class – 4 hours.
- Face-to-face practices with simulators – 8 hours.
- Immediate access to the online course platform.

Method and structure of the PER radio operator practices
- Classroom practices with simulators.
- Groups of up to 8 participants.
- Every month of the year in the Port Olímpic of Barcelona.
- Three independent sessions of 4 hours each.
- During the week or weekend.
- They must be done in order, that is, you will not be able to do the “Radio Operator 2” practice if you have not completed “Radio Operator 1”.
- The first session, Radio Operator 1, is theoretical training.
Agenda of the PER radio operator practices
The distribution of the total internship time would be divided into four sections:
- General knowledge of radiocommunications in the Maritime Mobile Service.
- Use the radio equipment of a ship.
- Practical use of equipment.
- Purpose and use of digital selective calling.
- Use of GMDSS subsystems and equipment.
- Procedures with and without DSC for distress, urgency and security communications.
- MSI: Maritime Safety Information – in the GMDSS.
- Cancel false alarms.
- Regulations, procedures and mandatory practices.
- Use of the international phonetic alphabet. IMO standard phrases.
Miquel Pérez –
A pesar de algún pequeño problema informático, todo muy correcto. Matthias, el profesor, haciendo ameno el 1º día con toda la presentación de la parte teórica. El resto de días, nos divertimos practicando en los simuladores un sinfín de posibles situaciones reales, para poder afrontarlas con seguridad, si nos hiciese falta, en navegación.

La practicas de vela me han parecido bien. El instructor muy correcto y muy profesional. Se nota los años de navegación. Un barco preparado para realizar unas buenas prácticas y un número correcto de alumnos por práctica.Me gusta mucho que exista la posibilidad de contratar más horas con un instructor en grupos reducidos para seguir ganando experiencia.

Fue divertidísimo hacer las de R.O.C.A. con Matthias un profesor con el que aparte de divertirte en sus clases te enseña y se preocupa para que aprendas.Y las clases de P.E.R. con Miquel un chico al que se le nota que le gusta su trabajo y lo vive.Sin mas muchas gracias a todo el equipo de Escola Port.
