The price of the PER short-range radio operator internship includes:
- On-site or streaming theoretical class – 4 hours.
- Face-to-face practices with simulators – 8 hours.
- Immediate access to the online course platform.
- Online tests.
- Teaching materials.
- VAT 21%.
Method and structure of the PER radio operator practices
- Classroom practices with simulators.
- Groups of up to 8 participants.
- Every month of the year in the Port Olímpic of Barcelona.
- Three independent sessions of 4 hours each.
- During the week or weekend.
- They must be done in order, that is, you will not be able to do the “Radio Operator 2” practice if you have not completed “Radio Operator 1”.
- The first session, Radio Operator 1, is theoretical training.
Agenda of the PER radio operator practices
The distribution of the total internship time would be divided into four sections:
- General knowledge of radiocommunications in the Maritime Mobile Service.
- Use the radio equipment of a ship.
- Practical use of equipment.
- Purpose and use of digital selective calling.
- Use of GMDSS subsystems and equipment.
- Procedures with and without DSC for distress, urgency and security communications.
- MSI: Maritime Safety Information – in the GMDSS.
- Cancel false alarms.
- Regulations, procedures and mandatory practices.
- Use of the international phonetic alphabet. IMO standard phrases.
